Westminster bridge and Big Ben in London

Breaking news: Reuters is now reporting that four people, including the attacker and a police officer, have died in Wednesday’s terrorism incident at the British Parliament, police said. Earlier reports said at least a dozen people were injured and two reported dead in London after a car crashed into pedestrians and an assailant stabbed a policeman in what police called a terrorist incident. The entire incident appeared to have unfolded in several locations, including on nearby Westminster Bridge where eyewitnesses said a car had crashed into pedestrians. A Reuters photographer said he saw at least a dozen people injured on the bridge. His photographs showed people lying on the ground, some of them bleeding heavily and one under a bus. Britain is on its second-highest alert level of “severe” meaning an attack by militants is considered highly likely. Reports are entirely preliminary, but the attack seems to be following ISIS recent instructions to use vehicles as weapons and target groups of people. Those who operate food and entertainment venues where large numbers of people gather especially need to be aware of the potential for future attacks.  READ MORE
