They’re demanding millions of dollars: Hackers claiming to have breached HBO were demanding millions of dollars in ransom payments from the television group, while threatening to release more files from what is claimed to be a massive data breach. The website Databreaches.net reported that 10 files were leaked Monday as part of the demand including what may be another script of the popular fantasy series “Game of Thrones.” The message comes a week after a leak of one script of “Games of Thrones” and content from other productions. READ MORE

The high cost of an ICE presence: The Idaho Dairymen Association and the Idaho Milk Processors Association have joined in opposition to a county commissioners plan to lease out space in the new jail to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). According to IDA executive director Bob Naerebout, many dairymen in the area fear losing essential migrant workers because of an increased ICE presence. The proposed contract could add $1.34 million annually to county coffers, but a University of Idaho economic analysis shows that just a 1 percent decrease in milk processed in a local market for cheese alone could cost the county $27 million. READ MORE

Another Paris attack: French police shot and arrested a suspect in the ramming of six soldiers near Paris on Wednesday after a dramatic car chase. Le Parisien newspaper named the driver in the suspected terror incident as Hamou B, a 37-year-old from Sartrouville in the north western suburbs of Paris. Local Mayor Patrick Balkany immediately told the French press that the incident was “without a doubt a deliberate act.” He said the driver had been waiting for the soldiers to report for duty, then “accelerated very quickly the moment they came out.” READ MORE

Chloe’s entire family became ill after eating the contaminated chicken salad, but she was the only one to go on to develop hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS).
