AUFSI Research Support
The Auburn University Food Systems Institute (AUFSI) is committed to helping identify and solve problems within the U.S. food system. An important component of this is assisting AU faculty with grant proposals, often interdisciplinary, that focus on one or more areas of the food system. Our services include everything from help writing the project narrative and budgeting to finding the necessary specialists for your project team. We can guide you from beginning to end of the grant submission process.

The AUFSI Annual Report offers a status update of the center, including changes in leadership and other staff as well as detailed summaries of the center’s activities throughout the year. Highlights include a Food Entrepreneur Conference summary and photos, a list of grant activity (grants applied for and grants awarded), an affiliate faculty update, and a letter from the director.
Auburn Campus Resources
At Auburn University, we support a variety of research projects and initiatives that will improve lives and communities through our state and around the world. Use the following links to find a variety of university resources that will help make your research a success.
AUFSI can help you plan your next conference, whether it’s a budding idea that needs collaboration and support to reach the planning phase, or if it’s an existing conference that needs a new “home” at Auburn. We can assist with recruiting other interested faculty for the conference, finding speakers/panelists, conference promotion, registration, day-of coordination, and more.
Funding agencies are increasingly insistent that faculty members collaborating on interdisciplinary proposals are already part of a functioning team. AUFSI facilitates “working groups” that unite faculty from different departments and colleges so that they may share ideas, develop solutions, and create a strong foundation for external grant submissions.
Grant Writing Support
You provide the technical information, and our grant writers can help you determine goals and objectives, clearly explain the need for your project in compelling terms, help you flesh out ideas. Of course, we also fine-tune by proofreading, correcting grammar and organizing content in a logical way that meets RFP requirements.
