Dr. Weese researches food safety issues in the food processing and food service industries. A food safety specialist for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, she also helps aspiring entrepreneurs navigate a maze of regulations. She has worked with school lunch programs to add more fresh fruits and vegetables as well as whole grains to the menu.

Regina Crapps is in charge of handling registration and payment for AUFSI classes and pulling together all the details of delivering course materials, providing information for students and calculating CEUs. She has a background in human resources, financial analysis and class and workshop facilitation and holds a degree in human resources from Auburn University-Montgomery.

Dr. Regina Halpin develops and conducts the program evaluation plans and project assessments for AUFSI. She has served as an independent consultant and previously taught graduate courses in research design and evaluation at Mississippi State University. She holds a bachelor’s degree in applied mathematics and masters and doctoral degrees in secondary mathematics education, all from Auburn University.

Jacque Kochak handles grant writing and communications projects for AUFSI, including researching and writing brochures, the annual report and press releases. An award-winning writer and editor, she holds a journalism degree from the University of Kansas.

Her background includes positions as a communications specialist and a newspaper journalist.

Troy Hahn is an Academic Technology Manager with extensive experience in personnel and project management with a focus area on instructional technology and eLearning. Troy’s duties are to manage the technology staff, envision, develop, design and manage eLearning training programs and other technology related endeavors that require unique innovative designs. Additional experience includes designing, coding, testing and supporting next-generation technology solutions in a higher education and distance education environment. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, both from Auburn University.
